Suprise!!!
Ummm...so I have a little something to say. Are you ready? I am going to be a GRANDMA again!!!! Yup, that's what I said! Eddy & Desiree are expecting again! Little Hunter man is gonna have a baby brother or sister! (The selfish side of me is hoping for a girl...I can already imagine the cute little bows & dresses, but honestly, I am just praying for a full term HEALTHY baby grandchild!) She hasn't been to the doctor yet, but a little calculation on her part says we're looking at another December baby! Who knows, it may be born on Hunter's birthday! The funny part? My dad & I were talking the other night about grand kids, and I told him I thought it would be a while before I had another one. Isn't life funny? And such a blessing? me

A little catch up
Tomorrow morning is David's eye surgery. I took the day off to be with him. We're not sure at this point how bad he will be, but I'd rather be safe than sorry & be able to be at home and able to take care of him if he needs me. My grandma is back in the hospital. I don't think they know exactly what's wrong with her, or how to fix it, but prayers are sure appreciated. I had a dentist appointment this morning. David asked me if I needed him to go with me & of course I said no. He needed to get to sleep so he could go to work tonight. However, by the time I got out of there I was really wishing he was there to drive me home. I came home & let the dogs out, then went back to work. Thank God my boss gave me one of her pain pills, or I would have never made it the whole afternoon. Eddy went to the emergency room Tues night. They did a cat scan & found kidney stones of all things! They sent him home with pain meds & something to keep him from throwing up. That poor guy is way too young to be falling apart like this! Anyway, I know he's in a lot of pain, and has to go to work since he just was out for his appendix, so please pray for him too. I certainly am & hope he gets to feeling better soon. Brittni & Jerimiah have settled into their new apartment it seems. The wedding planning is kinda stalled right now, we are trying to get the invitations figured out. She went last Thursday & put a deposit down on her "princess" dress so that's done. I know everything will somehow fall into place, but I just want it to be perfect for her. Also, I got my heart broken tonight. They drew the numbers for the $1 million dollar raffle tonight, and you'll never believe this-but we DID NOT WIN! I was counting on winning so we could get caught up! ;-) And can't you just imagine the wedding she could have if we'd have won? Well, that's all I've got right now. I've gotta get to bed so I can get up early & get David to Fayetteville for his surgery. Til next time......me
Precious Baby
Okay, so look. I know I'm getting kinda lazy when it comes to blogging. I know I've just been posting a picture and a little blurb at the end. But seriously? This work thing, this wedding thing, this LIFE thing, is time consuming! Ha! Britt took this when I came home for lunch on Tuesday. Eddy came up to work on the boat with David. I just love love love this little guy. And I'm SO thankful he is in my life! He got to spend the night with me on Saturday, and although he WORE ME OUT - I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. me

Breakfast
David woke me up at 5 am this morning. It's the last morning of the week for us to spend together before he goes back to work tonight - his "weekend" is over. We just like to wake up early, have our coffee together, watch the news & spend time together. Wanna know what I was doing at 6 am? Look!!!
Biscuits & home made gravy, scrambled eggs & sausage....he's got it so good & is spoiled rotten! me

Boogie
I had to post this. David picked me up for lunch yesterday & Boogie came too. She is learning (and has been since last year) to ride in the back of the truck. It makes me SO nervous when we come to a stop light. I am scared she's gonna see another dog or something & jump out! But of course she won't - she is David's dog. I asked David if he thought Bam would ride back there like that...he said, not yet. That's a nice way of saying..um, no - he's YOUR dog! ha! Anyway, I just loved the way her ears were blowing in the wind. me

Amazingly Great Great News!
David is going to days! David is going to days! David is going to days! Did I tell you that David is going to days! Yes, he is. He was asked last night to move to days to help get a new start up account off the ground. Why am I SO excited you ask? Well, let me tell you. Our lives will soon go back to normal. Or some semblance of normal anyway. No more of this passing each other as one of us goes to work, and the other is just getting home. No more weekends that pass in a blur because David has to work 12 hour night shifts & we can't go do anything because he is exhausted & has to sleep. No more of David spending his days off alone while I trudge in to work full of regret that I can't spend the day with him. This will open our lives back up & allow us to do the things together that we love. We can wake up at the butt crack of dawn & take the boat to the lake for the day. We can get up early Saturday mornings & go to garage sales. We can take off to Big David's Friday afternoon when we get off work & spend the whole weekend. We can even take the camper to the lake & spend a couple weeks there like we used to do, and just go to work & back from there! We can take off on a Saturday afternoon & go visit family. God knew we needed this & He has provided it for us and I am so grateful. While I am busy being grateful, David is busy being a little bit nervous. It's a big change for him. The night shift is much more laid back than days. Transplace is a big corporation, with a corporate dress code & policies. Things will be different for him but I am not a bit worried. He has this amazing ability to fit in wherever he is. And he is the fastest learner I've ever known. He just needs to be shown something once & he's got it. It isn't happening immediately, first they have to hire someone to take his place, then he has to train them. Also, it's going to take some really hard work & long hours getting this department set up, so they said for the first few months to expect to work 50,60,70 hour weeks! It will all be worth it in the end. So with all that being said....."CONGRATULATIONS BABY!" I love you & I'm proud of you. me
